Pastor Matthew Phillips, along with his wife and three daughters, serve their community of Columbiana County in Lisbon, Ohio. Matthew has been serving as Senior Pastor of Lisbon Baptist Temple since January of 2014.
Our Story
Matthew was born and raised in central Indiana. He accepted Christ at the age of 15 and felt called to preach a few months later. He attended Indiana Baptist College and graduated in 2000.
Jody grew up locally. She and her family attended Lisbon Baptist Temple, and she graduated from the Lisbon Christian Academy. Jody also attended Indiana Baptist College, where she and Matt first met. They were married at the church on May 15, 1999.
The Phillips family loves spending time together. We enjoy the outdoors which includes: walking along the Greenway Park Trails, sitting around a good campfire with family and friends enjoying s'mores while telling stories, and having some good laughs.
Our family verse is Psalm 126:3 "The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad."
